How to Paint Bathroom Tiles

Before You Start

  1. Clean surrounding grout lines with a grout cleaner and wipe with a lint-free cloth.
  2. Repair any damaged areas of grout.
  3. Give your tiles a thorough clean with bleach and wipe them down.
  4. Open your doors and windows for added ventilation.

Painting Bathroom Tiles

Application

  1. Thoroughly stir the paint before you apply it. This helps to ensure the colour pigments are properly mixed together.
  2. Apply one coat of the paint working it into the grout line. Finish each tile with a vertical stroke.
  3. Wait 24 hours for the paint to dry.
  4. If you are painting with a significantly different colour, you may need to apply a second coat to
    make sure it is properly covered.
  5. After 24 hours, redefine the grout line with a grout pen
