How to Paint Floor Tiles

Before You Start

  1. Apply a primer to the floor. Use a paintbrush for the grout and edges of each time and then a roller to fill in the middle.
  2. Leave the primer to dry as per the manufacturers instructions.
  3. Once the primer is dry, apply a thin coat of your chosen paint, following the same method as when you applied the primer.
  4. Let the first coat dry as per the manufacturers instructions and then apply another coat if needed. Once it is dry enough, check to see if the colour is deep enough before deciding whether or not to apply more paint.
  5. Let the paint dry for the recommended length of time.
  6. Move any furniture back into the room slowly and carefully to prevent scratching the newly painted floor tiles.
